Chimney Cleaning

Cleaning a chimney is important to prevent chimney fires and potential house fires. The chimney or venting system of your fireplace, wood stove, gas stove, or pellet stove needs regular maintenance. Our CSIA Certified chimney technicians help to ensure that your chimney is clean and in proper working order.

Our Chimney sweeping services are provided for all types of chimneys and flues including open fire (fireplace) chimneys and flues, as well as for other coal, gas, oil, and wood-fired heating systems.

Our chimney cleaning includes the following steps:

  • Clean inside the chimney from the flue all the way to the top of the chimney using wire brushes with extension rods to thoroughly brush and remove deposits
  • Clean the inside of the fireplace and firebox walls, the smoke chamber, smoke shelf, and the area around the damper assembly and frame.
  • Conduct a Level I visual inspection of the chimney by inspecting the firebox, damper, smoke chamber, and flue to verify any obstructions and combustible deposits. We’ll be looking for the basic soundness of the chimney structure and flue as well as the basic appliance installation and connections. Identify any defects and any repairs that may be needed.
  • Provide documentation upon completion to serve as a record of the service performed and to document any recommendations and repairs that may be needed based on the inspection findings.
